ウェブで新しいセマンティックモデルを作成

今や、ブラウザ内で100以上のコネクタを使用して新しいインポートセマンティックモデルを作成できます。

始め方：

  1. 作成ページに移動し、「データを取得」を選択します。
    これにより、ExcelやSharePoint、SQL Serverなどのデータソースを発見し接続するための最新のPower Query「データの取得」体験が始まります。

  2. データソースを選択し、接続設定を構成します。

  3. セマンティックモデルに含めるテーブルを選択します。

ここから次の3つのオプションがあります：

オプション1: レポートを作成

このオプションでは、Power BIサービス内のレポート編集体験に移動します。作成したセマンティックモデルの上にレポートを構築し始めることができます。

オプション2: セマンティックモデルのみを作成

このオプションを選択すると、レポートエディタを立ち上げることなくセマンティックモデルを作成します。ウェブ上のモデルエディタに直接入るため、さらなる編集が可能です。

オプション3: データを変換

この選択肢を使うことで、ウェブ上の最新のPower Queryエディタを使用して豊富なデータ変換を行えます。

ウェブ上で既存のセマンティックモデルを編集

Power BIサービスでは、新しいインポートセマンティックモデルを作成するだけでなく、既存のモデルに対してもコアモデリングの変更を行うことが可能です。

  • リレーションシップの管理: プロパティペイン、ダイアグラムビュー、またはリレーションシップ管理ダイアログを使って、テーブル間のリレーションシップを管理します。

  • DAXの作成: DAXメジャー、計算列、計算テーブル、計算グループを作成・編集し、完全なインテリセンスサポートを利用します。

  • プロパティの編集: プロパティペインでプロパティを編集し、モデルエクスプローラーをサポートします。

  • 行レベルセキュリティ: データを保護するためにRLSロールを定義・割り当てます。

  • Power Query統合: 既存のモデルを編集する際にも、データ取得ダイアログがサポートされています。

注意すべき振る舞い

  • セマンティックモデルの変更は自動的に保存されます。
  • モデルをウェブで開くには、書き込み権限とビルド権限が必要です。
  • Power BI管理者は、組織全体または特定のセキュリティグループに対してセマンティックモデルの編集を有効または無効にできます。

Power BI service has introduced general availability for semantic model editing on the web, specifically benefiting Mac users. Key features include:

Create New Semantic Models

Users can create import semantic models using over 100 connectors directly in the browser through these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Create page and select Get data.
  2. Choose and configure your data source.
  3. Select tables for inclusion in the model.

Three Options After Selection

  1. Create a Report: Immediately enter the report editor to build visuals and customize layouts.
  2. Only Create a Semantic Model: Create a model without launching the report editor for further refinement such as relationships and DAX measures.
  3. Transform Data: Use Power Query for data transformations before deciding on report or model creation.

Edit Existing Semantic Models

Users can make core changes to existing models directly in the browser, including:

  • Managing relationships between tables.
  • Editing DAX measures and properties with IntelliSense support.
  • Defining row-level security roles.
  • Adding import tables and performing transformations via Power Query.

Additional Features

  • Automatic saving of changes.
  • Version history support for models edited in the web.
  • Toggle between editing and viewing modes, with necessary permissions.

Administrative Control

Power BI admins can enable/disable model editing organization-wide or for specific groups and can monitor editing activity through logs.
