空間IDによる4次元時空間情報の利活用の普及促進へ
独立行政法人情報処理推進機構（IPA）は、「4次元時空間情報利活用のための空間IDガイドライン 1.0版」を公開しました。このガイドラインは、空間ID及び4次元時空間情報の利活用を推進するためのもので、具体的なユースケースを例示しつつ運用や技術仕様についての指針を示しています。これにより、社会における4次元時空間情報の普及と利活用を促進することが期待されています。
背景
Society5.0の実現に向けて、人とロボットおよびシステムが共生するためには、現実の空間を仮想空間に再現するデジタルツインの構築が重要です。デジタルツイン上でのデータ連携や分析を、現実世界にフィードバックするシステムが求められています。IPAのデジタルアーキテクチャ・デザインセンター(DADC)では、デジタル庁の依頼に基づき、関係省庁の支援のもとに空間IDを活用した4次元時空間情報の利活用を検討してきました。このたび、有識者検討会や実証事業の成果を踏まえて、「4次元時空間情報利活用のための空間IDガイドライン 1.0版」を発表しました。
概要
空間IDとは、地球上の特定の空間を一意に識別するための識別子です。本ガイドラインでは、空間IDを用いて位置を明確に特定し、システムにおける共通仕様として空間IDを導入することにより、様々な空間情報を時間情報も含めて効率的に処理するための技術開発やシステム実装について詳細に記載されています。
IPAでは、このガイドラインの活用によって空間IDを用いた4次元時空間情報の普及が進むことを願っています。また、効率的な空間情報の取り扱いがシステム開発やサービス提供、データ連携を容易にし、ビジネスの効率化や新たなサービスの創出につながることが期待されています。詳細については、IPAの公式ウェブサイトをご覧ください。

On April 28, 2025, the Independent Administrative Institution Information-Technology Promotion Agency (IPA) released the “Version 1.0 Spatial ID Guideline for Utilizing 4D Spatio-Temporal Information.” This document outlines the use of spatial IDs and 4D spatio-temporal information, providing guidelines for operational and technical specifications through various use cases. The aim is to promote the widespread adoption and utilization of 4D spatio-temporal data in society.
### Background
To achieve a Society 5.0 where humans coexist with robots and systems, there is a need to create digital twins of the real world. This involves a high level of integration between virtual and real worlds, facilitating data linkage and analysis to be fed back into real-world applications.
### Overview
A spatial ID uniquely identifies specific spatial areas on Earth. The guideline discusses how to use spatial IDs for precise location identification and the introduction of common specifications in systems to efficiently process various spatial information, including time data. The IPA anticipates that leveraging spatial IDs will enhance system development, service provision, and data linkage, leading to improved business efficiency and the creation of new services.
### Future Plans
The guideline is set to be updated based on discussions at the 4D spatio-temporal information infrastructure architecture study group and feedback from demonstration projects and implementation examples.
